Promised I would donate, and I did! Thought thirty dollars wont quite show you the appreciation I have for your work. I still remember when I stumbled on it years ago, and will never read anything quite like it again. I don't think I've thanked you for sharing, so it's my thanks in it's entirety.

Thank you, dear (hug) It's definitely very helpful.

At the moment I'm making life changes while waiting for beta readers to do what beta readers do. I'm tired of not writing, and the backlog in my head is getting excruciating.

I know how that is, in a way.
Kind of like drinking too much and wanting to write,
and yet everything you write is terrible.
Okay. Maybe not entirely alike, haha.

Hi! I just discoverd "Schadenfreude" a few days ago and just now finished it. OH. MY. GOD.

I already have a huge Nazi kink and i think you've made it a thousand times worse. And given me a medical kink. Dear lord. That was one of the best dirty things I've ever read. And I've read a lot of porn in my time.

Is it available in book form?

Not yet. It's going to be the first of them that is available in book form. I'm involved in an extensive polish with some missing bits put in and some awkward bits sanded smooth. Nothing is really going to change drastically, but there will be additional evil now and then.

It really does need to be available in bathtub-friendly format, doesn't it?

So nice to hear this. I just stumbled across an old link to it and had to frantically stalk you across the internet to see if you were still around and if the book were available (yet or still) on some obscure corner of the internet. <3
It really, REALLY needs a bathtub-friendly format.

I have read your stuff on and off since 1999. I was randomly web-searching today, remembered you, and went hunting. It took me forever to find you. I finally remembered "Deathstyle," and did a google search with a BUNCH of other pieces and found this.

I loved Kingdom of Heaven and the Deathstyle stuff. They helped me a lot at a very bad period in my life.

I hope your writing is going well. I look forward to seeing more things. Please keep going. A lot of people love your stuff and appreciate you. Thanks for being here and producing.

Well, I'm quite sure I left you an eloquent, largely off-topic ramble in reply, and it may in fact still be here, except hidden by the usual DA fail. Thank you for your kind words, dear. I have no intention of stopping or being stopped.

I'm chopping through a grasping horde of hands that want to stop me right now. Responses like yours are why I keep swinging.

The key that opened Deathstyle was reading a book called "Prayer Warriors" (I may be slightly off about that title) years ago when I briefly led a GLBT reading group. It was about a young man who came out and whose fundamentalist family did kind of a detonation-chain letter, enlisting everyone they knew to write him and try to persuade him to re-closet himself, and to enlist everyone THEY knew to do the same. Last I heard the poor dear was STILL getting disgusting, slackjawed-moron mail. They were quite fond of strike-through of the word "lifestyle" (as if we like that word anyway) and writing "deathstyle" instead, and I thought, my, what a name for a queer goth band. So, thanks, fundy imbeciles, for the porn. I hope you sinners enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed making it.

If you've yet to see Velvet Goldmine (I didn't, for the record, until after Deathstyle) it is to David Bowie and Iggy Pop what Deathstyle is to Marilyn Manson. Highly recommended.

Funny enough, when I read Deathstyle I didn't really consider it to be a "gay porn" (forgive me for even using that) thing. Exposure to Manson, Reznor, Bowie, etc, made me pretty oblivious to whether something was gay or straight. I just considered it artistic. I will check out Prayer Warriors (ish). I've seen Velvet Goldmine, and again, didn't consider it "gay and lesbian" art (!!!). Just boundary pushing.
